Now that you’ve read all about the Main Party Room at the Halloween Birthday, I’d like to show you the add-ons. What are add-ons? These are the areas of the home where we know our guests will be throughout the party, where I like to add little splashes of the theme. My client chose a wreath for her front door, some powder room decor, and a tray for her kitchen island for her add-ons. So fun!

I will write a blog post dedicated to “THE WREATH” someday soon, but for now, allow me to share: When your guests arrive at your home to celebrate, the beautiful wreath on your door is the first thing they see! Make it a good one. This particular wreath was custom made so that my client can leave it up from the time the leaves begin to change, all the way through to Thanksgiving. The spider is detachable, making the wreath a little fun and spooky for Halloween. It really is a fall/Halloween/Thanksgiving wreath. I am all about creating seasonal items that are versatile, and this wreath is just that.

The powder room add-on included some cute little ghost guest towels, a black and white ghost towel for the towel rack, a sweet vintage jack-o-lantern for some wall decor, a whimsical arrangement, a soap dish, and a couple of decorative linen bat towels. I love how it all looked with her black and white bathroom!

Everyone knows that the kitchen is the place where many guests feel the most comfortable. That’s why I think it’s a nice touch to have a tray placed somewhere in the kitchen where there is a nod to the party theme. For this celebration, I created an arrangement with big glittery candy pieces, a nice pumpkin spice-y candle, some dish soap in fun Halloween bottles, a vintage jack-lantern print in a table frame, and a vintage jack-lantern printed tea towel to match. I love the wooden tray with handles. It makes all the elements come together and stay grounded on the large kitchen island.

I find Halloween to be an opportunity to return to my happiest childhood memories. I hope that my client’s child enjoyed his 7th birthday party, and I hope all the adults who hung out appreciated the details. Happy Halloween Birthday!!!
